Jenny Parkington

Jenny Parkington is a freelance graphic designer and illustrator with over 20 years of experience. She founded Scratchy Hen Design in Manchester in 1997, working on diverse projects and collaborations worldwide.

Her work is influenced by mid-century design and the Bauhaus movement, resulting in bold, unfussy visuals. With a graphic design degree from the University of Salford and a largely self-taught practice, she brings both formal training and hands-on experience from a range of creative ventures.

She begins every project with ideas on paper, usually sketched with a Sharpie.
